baked apple schnaps



baked-apple-flavoured schnaps for the fam for christmas.

clean 4 apples ( about 450 gr ), cut in slices and put them in the oven on the third shelf from the bottom and bake for about 10 min till slices are soft.


cut a vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the core and put it together with a thinly-peeled loom zest, one star anis, three cinnamon sticks, the vanilla pod, the baked apples, 200 gr of white candied sugar in a jar. 
fill the jar with 700ml of grain alcohol or vodka ( 38%).
close tightly and let it rest for at least 4 weeks.
